Call for entries from the Plugged Art Collective

A touring short video festival (see the prospectus)

DESCRIPTION
Artists living in the American South share a particular voice that draws from a combination of unique influences and
contradictions. A recipe thick as the woods, heat, and accents combined with history, tradition, and modern technology,
creates a story that reflects a culture that is rarely captured. Plugged Art Collective invites all artists living and working in
the American South to share their artworks, observations, and experiences.

GUIDELINES
Plugged Art Collective seeks short video works that are original in their use of the medium. Video entries of all lengths up
to 5 minutes with a max of 3 videos per artist, and all genres including, but not limited to: experimental, narrative,
documentary, animation. All video works must have been completed no earlier than 2007. “Hot Sauce & Magnolias”
will tour at various venues for 2 years. Screening begins in Spring 2010. All video entries must be submitted in data
format, NTSC (NO AUTO PLAY or DVD MENUS). Only DVDs can be accommodated.

Peace: What A Day of Peace Means

Call for entries from WALK Gallery

Hello Friends,

Help us bring awareness to September 21, the International Day of Peace and Cease Fire. We want the community to be involved in expressing visually what peace means to them. There are no age limits on the show, just an open interpretation of what a day of peace means to you. Show our community your idea of peace! Submit your bio, artist statement, and an example of your work to entry@walkgallery.org by August 24, 2009. We will be in contact with you via email on details of the show (installation dates, etc.). There is a $5 entry fee, which will be collected when the art is dropped off for installation. If you've submitted work to WALK Gallery in the past then your fee is waived.

Go to PeaceOneDay.org for inspiration!

Thank you!

Your Friends from WALK Gallery, LLC
