Events this week at Cone 10 Studios & Plum Elements -from member Betsey Carter

I want to let you all know about two exciting clay events on December 4 and December 7, co-sponsored by Cone 10 Studios and Plum Elements.

We are having a rare potter guest from Japan in town soon. She is from a porcelain mecca in Japan and a trained master potter. She is part of a very old gas kiln there which is being highfired, very similar to what we do. She is having an exhibit in conjunction with her husband's work at the store Plum Elements on King St. You all may have met the owner Andrea Schenck at some of our openings at Cone 10.

We thought it might be a nice idea to get together with the Japanese artist at Cone 10 one evening. The potter has offered to give a power point presentation about her work and background in ceramics. We have arranged for an interpreter to help with the presentation and conversation.

Please mark your calendar for this not to be missed event: Tue Dec 4th from 6-8pm. Please let me know if you plan to attend or not, so we'll know how many chairs and, more importantly, how much wine, to organize.

Hope you can make one or both events.

Best holiday wishes,

Plum Elements

Opening reception, Thursday, December 7th from 6 until 8 p.m.
