Deadline Extended - 2010 North Charleston Arts Festival Design Competition

South Carolina fine and graphic artists are invited to compete in the Art Design Competition for the 2010 North Charleston Arts Festival. The winning artist will be honored with a $500 Purchase Award and the original artwork will become part of the City's Public Art Collection. The piece will also be featured on the cover of Festival brochures, T-shirts, and posters. Additionally, the winning artist will have the opportunity to present a solo exhibition at the North Charleston City Gallery during the month of May, 2010. Deadline & submission details: Entries may be hand delivered with a completed application form to the North Charleston City Gallery, located within the Charleston Area Convention Center at 5001 Coliseum Drive, on Friday, January 22, 2010, from 9:00AM to 7:00PM or Saturday, January 23, 2010, from 9:00AM to noon. Entries may also be submitted via email to culturalarts@northcharleston.org by Saturday, January 23, 2010, and must include images of the artwork with and without a frame in JPEG format, as well as a completed application form.
